Many comrades are going through hell not only because of the current economic hardship, but because they are NDC members. If this continues for a long time it will be difficult for committed comrades to survive in this country unless the cross carpet which is the ultimate agenda of Yaanom – one-party state.
Our comrades are being victimised and being denied of jobs because of their party affiliations. Some of them are sick and some have died out of need.
Few years ago, a comrade from Suhum and a former appointee at the Office of the Vice President had his entitlements unpaid after his party left office.
The payment dragged on and our comrade was in serious distress. One morning, somewhere in 2018, I missed his call while in the washroom. I immediately tried to return his call as soon as I was done, but had no response. About an hour later, I saw on one of our WhatsApp platforms that he was dead. I was shattered, wondering what he wanted to tell me at the point of death.
The truth is that many comrades may not be able to survive another four years in opposition because of persecution and oppression. This is the serious spectre that confronts us as comrades.
Ghanaians are looking forward to the NDC to choose President Mahama as the flag-bearer for 2024 to deliver Ghanaians from this severe suffering. Must we disappoint them? Hell. No.
I emplore the suffering and persecuted comrades to lead the charge. I want to inspire them that however the storms may soar in their lives, they should not change their God, and their love for H.E John Dramani Mahama because with our support freedom is coming in January, 2025.
