Give me a chance to secure victory for NDC – Nii Ashie Moore

Greater Accra Regional Chairmanship aspirant of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, has said he remained the only aspirant that could win against the ruling NPP in the region. He said the NDC party in the region needed a strong and courageous Chairman like him who would not compromise, adding that with a courageous Chairman, strategic decisions would be taken to tackle the opponent in the region.

“The issue now is not who has been Chairman but who can win the election for NDC. Who has the capacity, the courage, who will not compromise, and who will face the NPP? Who will win the election for NDC? That is me here. “I will face NPP squarely with smart strategies. If the Greater Accra regional NDC  give me this chance on November 12 or 13, they should rest assured that victory is the ultimate prize, my eyes will be on the ball. More parliamentary seats as we retain our current 20 seats,” Hon Ashie Moore said.

The former Member of Parliament for Adentan said that NDC must do everything possible not to lose the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections, stating,  “If we lose the presidential election in 2024, we can as well forget NDC”. “I have been tested in terms of strategies, performance, and support of NDC. Mine is ‘talk and do’,” he added.

Hon Ashie Moore who promised to replicate his outstanding strategies in the national elections if given the node said that he would provide a leadership every NDC member in the region would be proud of, at home and abroad. The aspirant pleaded with the Regional delegates to vote for him to work for the NDC victory to rescue the nation, stressing that, “I know NPP very well, and allow me to face them. I am entreating you, delegates, allow me. Support me to take the power from NPP in the region and bring back to NDC

The NDC chieftain lamented that some party leaders aspiring to contest for the regional Chairmanship now were the ones that threw the former ruling party into opposition when they compromised the party victory in 2016.

The former MP, who appealed to the regional NDC to end all infighting and division, said that if the party was not united, it would not win in the region and the nation, promising to run a clean and transparent administration when elected as Chairman for the region.

Hon Ashie Moore described himself as a fearless and courageous leader, with a strong capacity to drive NDC forward in the Greater Accra region, is in the contest with three other strong men including the incumbent regional Chairman, Joseph Kobina Ade-Coker.

The rest are Michael Kwettey Tettey, a former Constituency Chairman for Ningo-Prampram, and Thomas Mustapha Nii Ashong, the current regional Youth Organizer.

Nonetheless, he expressed optimism of victory to lead the NDC on the Regional front to total victory in the 2024 election. He promised a clean campaign devoid of personal attacks, stating, “I am seeking election as a Regional Chairman to serve my party and to help recapture power in 2024.” Per the guidelines, the party regional elections would be held between November 12 and 13, 2022, while the National Congress will be held on December 17, 2022.
