When we take over, we’ll show you where power lies – South Dayi MP to Afenyo Markin
Member of Parliament for South Dayi, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, has warned the New Patriotic Party (NPP), stating that there will be accountability if the National Democratic Congress (NDC) assumes power on January 7, 2025.
In an interview with TV3, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor slammed Majority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, accusing him and the outgoing New Patriotic Party (NPP) government of violating legal protocols.
He criticized the Effutu lawmaker for misleading claims to bolster his public statements.
His comments come after the re-collation and announcement of results for seven out of nine contested parliamentary seats, which were declared in favor of the NPP following a High Court ruling.
Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor alleged that the NPP resorted to unscrupulous methods to secure these seats.
He also accused the NPP of engaging in political manipulation to gain more parliamentary seats, warning that such actions would not go unchallenged under an NDC administration.
He stressed the importance of respecting the judicial process, particularly when matters are still pending before the Supreme Court.
