THE STOLEN VERDICT OF ELECTION 2020 BY FORCES MILITATING AGAINST DEMOCRACY AND GOOD GOVERNANCE IN GHANA’S ELECTORAL PROCESSES.
The outgoing General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Johnson Asiedu Nketia has fired another verbal attack at the Supreme Court regarding the 2020 election petition that was filed against the presidential results as announced by the Electoral Commission (EC).
In his view, the Supreme Court failed to allow the Chair of the EC, Jean Mensa to account for her stewardship following her refusal to mount the witness box to be cross examined. Mr Nketia described the EC as a biased umpire in the conduct of the 2020 election.
Speaking at the delegates congress of the NDC at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday December 17, 2022 Mr Nketia who is aspiring to be elected as National Chair of the NDC said “we had a Supreme Court that threw common sense, fact and logic to the wind and denied the people of Ghana the opportunity to hold the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission to account for her stewardship as the sole returning officer for the presidential election.”
He added “we lost the case in court but won in the court of public opinion.”
His comments come just few days after explaining his inability to produce any result in court to challenge the figures of the EC.
He told delegates of the NDC in the Bono and Bono East regions ahead of Saturday’s Conference that, the IT system that was brought by the party’s Director of IT, Osei Kwame Griffiths who was appointed by Chairman Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, for the collation of results was not good enough for the purpose.
COMMENTS:
The man Johnson Asiedu Nketia is a solid man who can never be cowed into silence in his fight against wrongdoing of Govenment officials so long as he knows the truth.
In my honest view he stands for the truth after hearing the hopes and smiles he brought back to the faces of many Ghanaians following what he said at the congress today.
His efforts to remind the akufo addo led government, the Predetermined unanimous supreme court justices, jean Mensah the electoral commissioner and a family member selected by akufo addo from his nuclear family, gave many truth seeking Ghanaians, a renewed sense of hope that, some day, one day, we will get the true justice we duly deserve as Ghanaians.
It also gave us the hope that soon, and very soon, all the courts in Ghana shall effectively and efficiently function again in the best interest of Ghanaians who have long been deprived of having the true justice we so constitutionally deserve.
He has today as a matter of fact, honestly brought back the long lost hopes of Ghanaians, seeking true justice from our supreme court and local courts since the wasteful, arrogant and corrupt akufo addo took office in January 2017.
Since akufo addo took office 7 years ago, he has since been able to enviably earn himself the title of “MOTHER SERPENT OF CORRUPTION”, based on the high level of mismanagement, malfeasance, eneptitute, nepotism, insensitivity, arrogance of power and gross incompetence he negligently and arrogantly introduced into Ghana Politics by deliberately violating all existing laws and procedures with impunity and contributing either knowingly or unknowingly to our Economic downgrade and collapse.
All the above put together has brought lots of untold hardship, suffering, hunger and starvation on the Ghanaian people who can no longer afford 2 decent meals a day.
Unfortunately also, the finance minister, ken ofori atta who is also a cousin of president akufo addo and whose abysmal performance, gross incompetence and over borrowing, also largely contributed to the downgrade and collapse.
Sadly, this woefully failed finance minister, ken ofori atta is the only person who akufo addo thinks is the best person to lead Ghana to IMF to seek for GHANA’s financial freedom and Economic emancipation against every good advise, reason and logic.
Regrettable, isn’t it?
