Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Mahama has reaffirmed his commitment to be truthful to Ghanaians, run an open and transparent all-hands-on-deck government.
According to him, governance is about serving the people what they want and how best to achieve results without untold hardship on citizens. He explained that power is not to be sought for personal gratification
“Power used for self-glorification and gratification and with arrogance and callousness, will ultimately disintegrate the moral fabric of any society and with it, it will breed despair and chaos” he emphasized.
Speaking at the invitation of the Catholic Archdiocese of Tamale, to climax the 10th National Sacred Heart of Jesus Congress & Golden Jubilee of the National Sacred Heart of Jesus Enthronement Centre on Saturday, September 7, 2024 in Tamale Mr Mahama reassured of his commitment to serving the nation with a pure heart.
“I shall strive towards being a humble, honest, accountable, and committed servant of Ghana” he rehashed. The celebration was under the theme ‘National Sacred Heart of Jesus Enthronement Centre, Ghana at 50: Building a Synodal Church, the Role of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Devotional Practices by the Catholic Family’.
The National Sacred Heart of Jesus Enthronement Centre is a devotional group of the church that promotes the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
