Mahama Calls For Peace Between Sammy Gyamfi and Opare Addo

Former President John Mahama has mediated the fight between the National Democratic Congress (NDC) National Communications Officer Sammy Gyamfi and the NDC Youth Organiser George Opare Addo.

Mr Gyamfi had supported Mr Brogya Genfi against Mr Opare Addo in the party’s recently-held internal polls for the Youth Organiser position, leading to a war of words. Fmahama-calls-for-peace-between-sammy-gyamfi-and-opare-addo%2F&fwr=0& Mr Opare Addo accused Mr Gyamfi of buying a plush property in a prime suburb of Accra despite not practising as a lawyer after being called to the bar.

Mr Gyamfi rebutted with a biblical quote which allegedly referred to Mr Opare Addo as a fool. Mr Mahama intervened in the fight by inviting them for peace talks. “I’ve had meetings with our Youth Organiser and Communications Officer and agreed with them that the current exchanges must stop”, Mr Mahama announced on social media.

He added: “It brings our great party no benefit and only serves as a distraction from the hardship caused by the reckless management of our economy. Let’s keep our eyes on the prize for the ‘Ghana we want’”.
