Mahama appoints Malik Basintale as acting YEA CEO

President John Mahama has appointed Malik Basintale as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA). The announcement was confirmed by Mr Basintale on his social media platforms, where he expressed heartfelt gratitude to the President for the opportunity.

“Thank you, Mr President, John D. Mahama. We shall not fail you and the youth of Ghana!” he wrote, pledging his commitment to the agency’s mission.

The Youth Employment Agency plays a pivotal role in addressing unemployment among Ghanaian youth by creating job opportunities and providing skills development programmes.

Basintale’s appointment has been seen as the government’s commitment to revitalising the agency and ensuring it fulfils its mandate to empower young people across the nation. A staunch youth advocate and prominent figure within the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Malik Basintale brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to his new role.
