The man K.T. Hammond, a seasoned Politician, a legislator, a member of the ruling National Patriotic Party and a cabinet member has never seized to exhibit his chicanery and Schandenfreude and derogatory remarks about Ghanaians anytime an opportunity presents itself.
It appears that seeing microphones and cameras makes him go banal.
Few months a go, he did not spare the youth of Ghana by stating that they are “empty heads with beards” demonstrates a clear lack of respect and understanding for the younger generation.
His comments reveal a narrow-minded view that dismisses the potential and intelligence of young people solely based on their age.
In African culture, elders are traditionally respected for their wisdom and experience.
However, it is essential to remember the saying, “Not all that glitters is gold.”
Hon. K.T. Hammond’s arrogance and disrespectful behavior towards the youth highlight the misconception that age automatically equates to wisdom.
True wisdom comes from humility, open-mindedness, and respect for others, regardless of their age. Another relevant proverb is, “The one who has not traveled thinks his mother is the best cook.” This proverb emphasizes the importance of gaining perspective and understanding different viewpoints.
