ECG working with NADMO to restore power supply after Sunday’s downpour

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has confirmed to the general public that the heavy rainstorm that hit the Greater Accra Region on Sunday, May 18, 2025, has caused flooding and some outages within ECG’s network.

After the rainfall, NADMO requested that the following areas be isolated due to the flooding: Borteyman Stadium, Affordable Housing, Borteyman Township, Little Roses, Lakeside, Nanakrom, Kissieman, Dome Pillar 2, Christian Village, School Junction, School Junction Melcom, Nmaidzor Zoomlion, University Farms, Trasacco 3rd gate, Legon Hill, Santoe, Blue Kiosk, Adenta ECG office, Madina Islamic University.

In a statement on Monday, May 19, 2025 ECG said collaboration with NADMO is ongoing to restore power supply. ECG says it awaits NADMO’s directives before power supply is restored.

“Individual/localised outages and incidents of fallen poles, or sagging conductors within customers’ vicinities should be reported to the ECG Call Center on 0302-611611, the nearest ECG office, or reach us on our social media handles via @ECGghOfficial on Facebook, X, or Instagram for prompt intervention,” ECG said.
