The Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, has called on party members to disregard a circulating letter requesting the submission of party nominees from constituencies for appointments.

According to a statement dated Wednesday, December 25, 2024, Ashie Moore categorically stated that he was not aware of any such directive from the national leadership of the party.

Ashie Moore attributed the letter to a sole decision by the Regional Secretary, made without recourse to the party’s established structures.

He emphasised that the transition team of the President-Elect is focused on ensuring a smooth handover and implementing the top 10 policies within the first 120 days in office.

The statement reads, “I have been notified of a letter in circulation indicating submission of party nominees from constituencies for appointments. Let me state explicitly that I am not aware such notification from the apex level of the party. Neither has the regional executives committee been consulted nor have approved such directive. This is indeed a sole decision of the Regional Secretary without any recourse to laid down party structures. Kindly disregard the letter completely with much seriousness it deserves. The transition team of the President-Elect is assiduously working for a successful handing over and focused on delivering the top 10 policies to be implemented within his first 120 days in office.”

He further urged members to treat the letter with the seriousness it deserves and to disregard it entirely.
