A WORD OF CAUTION TO THE NDC LEADERSHIP

The leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) must be reminded that true power lies with the grassroots. Any attempt to sideline dedicated members, particularly from the Zongo Caucus, will have serious consequences for the party’s future.

For years, we have toiled, sacrificed, and used our meager resources to mobilize support for the party. We have stood firm in the face of challenges, not for personal gain, but for the collective success of the NDC. Yet, after victory, some of us are being cast aside as though our contributions no longer matter.

The Danger of Neglecting the Grassroots

Ignoring the Zongos and the committed foot soldiers who have stood by the party through thick and thin is a grave mistake. The strength of the NDC has always been its base—the ordinary people who fight, campaign, and defend the party even in the most difficult times.

If appointments and opportunities are given based on favoritism rather than dedication and competence, then the leadership is no different from the very system we campaigned against. The NDC has always been the party of the people, and we must not repeat the mistakes of others by practicing “family and friends” politics. If this trend continues, the party risks losing the very foundation that has kept it strong.

A Call for Fairness and Inclusion

We urge the leadership to prioritize fairness, inclusion, and the recognition of hard work. The dedication of grassroots members, especially those from the Zongos, cannot be overlooked. This is not just about politics—it is about justice, about keeping faith with those who have remained loyal through all seasons.

The leadership must remember that power is temporary, but the decisions made today will determine the party’s future. If the NDC fails to do the right thing now, it will surely face the consequences in 2028.

Karma is real. We are watching. Allah is watching. And in the end, we will all be accountable for our actions.

Let no one take us for granted. Let justice and fairness prevail to save the NDC. By Hajia Nadisco
