Mahama donates 20,000 cedis to Imam Amadu’s Mosque in Nima.
Yesterday a delegation led by Alhaji Mustapha Abubakar on behalf of President Mahama presented the donation of H.E John Dramani Mahama towards the construction of a mosque in Nima which collapsed about a year ago. Fortunately there were no casualties when the building fell. Over time, efforts were made to raise funds to support the ongoing reconstruction of the mosque.
In one of such occasions to raise funds towards this project, the National Chief Imam Sheik Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, Sheik Mustapha Ibrahim, Sarki Nii Futa of Nima and many other chiefs and opinion leaders called on benevolent persons to support. These eminent personalities also donated towards the mosque construction.
President Mahama who was also approached acted with alacrity and supported with a token of GHc20,000 (200 million old cedis). Sarki Mojo, the Greater Accra Grushie Chief who is also a member of the mosque committee received the donation and thanked H.E John Dramani Mahama for responding to their call. Alhaji Mustapha Masloc was accompanied by Alhaji Fahd Hussein Zongo Caucus Deputy Operations Director and Alhaji Umar Sanda of Nima.
The mosque committee prayed for President Mahama and thanked him for the good works he is doing for the Muslim community. The National Chief Imam prayed for Mahama and asked Allah to fulfil his wishes.
