Ghana Gas completes plant maintenance ahead of 14-day timeline
The Ghana National Gas Company has successfully completed its scheduled plant maintenance ahead of the projected timeline, allowing operations to resume earlier than planned. The facility, which was shut down on August 16 for essential work expected to last 14 days, was reopened on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, after engineers and technicians completed the process successfully.
In a statement signed by Richard Ernest KIRK-MENSAH, the Head of Corporate Affairs, the company described the early completion as a significant achievement, emphasizing the efficiency and dedication of its maintenance team. Chief Executive Officer Ms. Judith Adjobah Blay praised the staff for their commitment and teamwork, noting that their efforts ensured the project was completed without delays. With the maintenance exercise concluded, the plant is anticipated to stabilize and deliver its expected gas volumes within the next few hours.
