Members of a group called All Teachers Alliance Ghana, have hit the streets to express their displeasure over laptops being distributed by the Ghana Education Service to teachers in the country.

The opposition Progressive People’s Party (PPP) has asked the Minority Caucus in Parliament to stand firm in o pposing the proposed Electronic Transaction Levy (e-levy).

The Member of Parliament for the North Tongu constituency in the Volta Region has said the Minority Caucus will not support government in it’s quest to acquire a new presidential jet.

A Deputy Finance Minister, Abena Osei-Asare has disclosed that ongoing consultations regarding the Electronic Transaction Levy will influence the content of the final tax instrument that will be laid in Parliament before Friday.
