I’ll hold National Economic Dialogue to draw up fiscal consolidation programme – Mahama

The flag bearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has outlined plans to host a National Economic Dialogue within the initial 120 days of his presidency, aiming to craft a robust 4-year fiscal consolidation program. This, he said, is central to his vision for economic revitalization.

Mahama shared this commitment at the unveiling of the NDC’s 2024 manifesto in Winneba on August 24. He said the economy of the country needs to be revived by pragmatic policies the NDC has lined up in the manifesto. Mahama said his government will convene competent stakeholders to work on the ailing economy.
